The CiA 402 Profile Position Mode

Positioning by parameterising instead of programming

You have positioning tasks, but a software licence would drive up the costs? Then you should not miss this four-part web seminar series by Andreas Münchenberger (Technical Trainer). With the Profile Position Mode of the CiA 402 standard, you can position without licence costs for a Motion Library.

Topics of the introductory course include the basic parameterisation as well as the control and feedback of standard and operating mode-specific bits in the control word.
In the second part of the webinar series, Andreas Münchenberger will show you, among other things, the Profile Position Mode in “Single Set-Point” mode, position and/or speed override as well as software and hardware end position monitoring.
In Part 3 we go into more details about homing, rotary table positioning and spindle orientation.
The topics of the last part of this webinar series are positioning on a separate position encoder and the extension to Profile Position Mode – the index positioning.
