3 use cases, 1 solution: NOA
The benefits of IIoT for machine building
How can downtime in a high-bay warehouse be reduced or even eliminated altogether? How can data from driverless transport systems be collected and evaluated? And why is it actually worth considering IIoT for production processes? The answers to these and other questions are provided by NOA, the open automation platform with future-proof architecture from KEB for machine and plant manufacturing.
NOA enables users to flexibly control and operate their machines and also to intelligently utilise and analyse their machine data. Apps such as machine learning, monitoring and solutions for HMIs can be easily and flexibly installed with NOA. Three practical examples show how quickly and easily IIoT solutions can be implemented in a wide range of applications:
1. NOA is used to optimise energy consumption in a high-bay warehouse with various storage and retrieval machines. Among other things, data from the cranes is recorded in the system to analyse operating times.
2. Condition monitoring with NOA: Two AGVs demonstrate how data analysis and optimisation can enable more efficient processes.
3. Italian electric motor manufacturer Brusatori used the automation platform to optimise quality testing and speed up the entire assembly process.
