Lift Drives
COMBIVERT F6/S6 Lift
The COMBIVERT F6 and S6 Lift Drives offer a powerful and precise drive solution for modern lift systems. They enable precise control of speed and torque and ensure smooth, comfortable and energy-efficient operation – regardless of load and lift height.
With the Lift software package, developed specifically for lift operation, the drives meet the highest safety requirements and offer maximum flexibility in the design of various system concepts. Thanks to their compact design, high overload capacity and excellent control quality, the COMBIVERT F6 and S6 Lift are ideal for lift applications with limited installation space and the highest comfort requirements.
Highlights
- Overload capacity
- Compact design
- Flexible motor operation: For asynchronous/synchronous motors, with or without a gearbox
- Encoderless control for asynchronous/synchronous motors

FUNCTIONAL SAFETY FOR LIFT CONSTRUCTION
Safety is a crucial factor in lift construction. The COMBIVERT F6 and S6 Lift Drives integrate proven safety-related functions directly into the frequency converter, thereby making an active contribution to the protection of people, equipment and buildings – without the need for additional external safety components.
Benefits for lift manufacturers
- Reduced system complexity thanks to integrated safety functions
- No option cards, multi-encoder interface built into the unit
- Fewer external components, reduced installation effort
- Simplified safety verification
- Higher system availability and shorter downtimes
- Future-proof solution for expansions and new standard requirements
Lift Drives comply with the relevant standards for lift systems, including:
- EN 81-20 / EN 81-50
- EN ISO 13849 and IEC 61508 / IEC 61800-5-2
(Functional safety of machinery and drives)
They therefore support the standard-compliant verification of functional safety up to PL e or SIL 3, depending on the function and system design.
The safety-related functions are implemented directly within the device – no external safety relays or motor contactors are required:
Safe Torque Off (STO)
- Two-channel safe shutdown of motor torque
- Certified up to PL e / SIL 3
- Operation without motor contactors possible
- Advantages: reduced wiring effort, reduced EMC, fewer sources of error
Safe Brake Control (SBC)
- Monitoring of the motor brake via dedicated inputs
- Meets the requirements for UCM (Unintended Car Movement)
- Increased safety during standstill and holding functions
In addition, the F6 and S6 Lift Drives offer numerous functions to ensure safe operation and prevent faults:
- Motor phase check before every trip
- Overspeed and blockage monitoring
- Speed and torque monitoring
- Software-based motor protection switch
- Temperature monitoring of motor and inverter
- Internal monitoring of brake chopper and power sections
- Deceleration monitoring for shortened shafts
- Special modes for evacuation, UPS operation and earthquakes
Evacuation without an encoder is also possible with synchronous machines, for example in the event of a fault or during maintenance work.
CONTROL WITH A LIFT OPERATOR
- Intuitive operation

- Choice of metric or imperial units
- USB and Ethernet interfaces
- Detailed diagnostics and data logging
- 5-level parameter password protection
- Custom parameter library available
- Memory space and real-time clock
