POWER SUPPLY AND REGENERATION OPTIMISING EFFICIENCY
WITH POWER SUPPLY AND REGENERATION UNITS
Make energy usable rather than burning it away: with power supply and regeneration systems from KEB’s product range, machine and plant manufacturers are already optimising new machines during the design phase, or creating a second phase of use for existing systems during retrofitting.
Highlights
- Optimal energy use/directly increased efficiency
- Heat loss is not emitted into the environment
- Minimised risk of fire
- Rapid amortisation of investment costs
Energy from braking resistors is recovered rather than being lost as heat
With central power supply and regeneration systems and DC-supplied drive controllers, the energy generated by braking processes in machines and systems is directly used to meet the energy requirements in the system as a whole, or fed back from the system into the supplying network.
Depending on the load and motion profile, with the power supply and regeneration unit the regenerated share of energy can largely be used to power other consumers, ensuring a significant reduction in the system’s overall power consumption, as illustrated using the example of a pallet vehicle in warehouse technology.
