PROFINET (Process Field Network) can be easily integrated as an established standard for reliable communication. Users also benefit from high availability, easy access to relevant data, and ultimately, from optimal use of their available resources. Whether it is for parametrisation tasks or I/O data transmission, KEB Automation’s COMBIVERT F6 and S6 drive controllers are certified in the “APPLICATION” and “PRO” versions for communication via PROFINET, and are therefore ideally suited to real-time requirements. The APPLICATION version is IRT-capable and enables the synchronised transfer of data between the drive and the PLC. PROFINET with IRT ensures high performance, even when there are lots of communication participants. When it comes to the automation of systems, with PROFINET, machine and plant operators have another standard available for implementing concepts with sensorless safety.
Continuous and safe communication facilitates the commissioning and operation of machines and systems. The APPLICATION device version of the COMBIVERT F6 and S6 offers integrated safety functions directly in the drive. Communication via the PROFIsafe fieldbus protocol has been integrated and certified in the devices.
In the APPLICATION device version of the KEB F6 and S6 drive controllers, Ethernet-based bus systems can be switched by software, enabling a flexible fieldbus connection to the higher control level, for example, via PROFINET. Communication via the PROFIsafe fieldbus protocol has been integrated and certified in the devices. This reduces wiring work in the application.
The PROFINET-certified COMBIVERT F6 and S6 device series cover a wide power range from 0.75 kW to 450 kW, and can be used to operate various motor technologies such as asynchronous, synchronous, synchronous reluctance, IPM, torque, linear and high-speed motors with speeds up to 60,000 rpm.
