Increased braking torque with the same diameter
By installing several brake pads in one brake, the braking torque can be more than doubled with the same diameter, depending on the number of brake surfaces. Compared with a conventional double brake such as the COMBISTOP 38D with two identical brakes that build up one after the other, in the case of a double rotor brake, only one brake magnet is used, which reduces the overall axial structure.
Increased IP protection requirements, monitoring the braking function and a variety of further options can be achieved by individually adapting the brake. An optional hand release can be fitted in order to manually release the multi-surface brake.
