SPRING-APPLIED BRAKES
KEB Automation’s brakes have been making customer applications safe for over 50 years. “Closed when currentless” fail-safe spring-applied brakes play an important role in this context.
MODULAR SYSTEM FOR GREATER FLEXIBILITY
A potential power failure causes the brake to be released or triggers an emergency stop in the safety application. The same principle can also be applied to a holding brake, which ensures a safe standstill in the de-energised state. In this case, the brakes can be mounted directly on the motor bearing assembly, in the motor housing or even externally. Using the optional hand release, it is possible to release the safety brakes manually. High IP protection class requirements, monitoring the braking function and a variety of further options can be achieved easily and as standard thanks to the modular system.
