The COMBIBOX clutch-brake-combination combines an electromagnetic brake and a clutch in ready-to-install housing. The patented adjustment procedure allows the air gap to be readjusted in its installed condition, which considerably extends the service life of the wear-affected friction elements. The units designed for start/stop operation significantly reduce energy consumption due to a continuously running drive.

The ready-to-install COMBIBOX type 10 is equipped with an operating current single-surface clutch and single-surface brake. This enables a high switching frequency and good positioning accuracy. In conjunction with the electronic COMBITRON rapid switch, further increased switching frequencies and good reproducibility of the overrun tolerance can be achieved.
Type 09 of the COMBIBOX is an electromagnetic clutch, which is built into the conventional housing. It enables simple installation between attachments such as the motor and gear unit.
The type 06 version of the COMBIBOX features an operating current single-surface clutch and a closed current permanent magnet single-surface brake. This variant is characterised by the fact that the positions achieved in the de-energised state remain safe and backlash-free. Like all COMBIBOX types, this type is also delivered ready for installation.
With the shaft in/shaft out combination, the COMBIBOX is supplied with one shaft end on the input and output sides. A flange is optionally available for both sides.
With the bore in/bore out combination, the COMBIBOX is supplied with two hollow shafts on the input and output sides, meaning that two shaft ends can be connected. A flange is optionally available for both sides.
With the bore in/shaft out combination, the COMBIBOX is supplied with one hollow shaft on the input side for connection to a motor shaft, and one shaft end on the output side. A flange is optionally available for both sides.
With the shaft in/bore out combination, the COMBIBOX is supplied with one shaft end on the input side and one hollow shaft on the output side. A flange is optionally available for both sides.
If the COMBIBOX standard flange does not fit the installation situation, it can be adapted in KEB’s in-house production process.
